Readme for announcements for PocketGrandmaster. PocketGrandmaster supports spoken announcements of moves. Since the required soundfiles (.wav-files) require some space on the Pocket PC they are not part of the standard package. The announcements are based on the .wav-files by DGT-projects and used with kind permission. Currently announcements are available in five languages: English, Spanish, German, French and Dutch. To install announcements, download the language you want (e.g. EnglishAnnouncements.exe) and run it on your desktop PC to extract the files (it is a self-extracting executable). Then put your Pocket PC in its docking station and run the extracted SetupAnnouncements.exe. It will connect to the Microsoft Application Manager and installs the sound files on your Pocket PC. If you have any problems, you can also install the announcements manually: 1. copy the extracted "XYAnnouncements.CEF"-file to your Pocket PC 2. open the "file explorer" on your Pocket PC and tap "XYAnnouncements.CEF" Please note that only one language can be installed at a time. Hint: The best way to use the announcements is to connect your Pocket PC to the electronic chessboard by DGT-projects. This allows you to play on a tournament size wooden board against a computer opponent - and you don't even have to look at the screen or Pocket PC, because PocketGrandmaster announces it's moves!
